On Tuesday 14th September 2010 at about 11:30am an elderly female living near Myatt's Field answered a knock at her door.

Upon opening the door a white male claimed to be doing work on a neighbouring house and needed to check the water supply. He asked her to take him to the kitchen and he followed (closing the door behind him).

They went into the kitchen where he stood by the sink and turned the taps on for several minutes. After a while the caller simply said the water supply seemed to be OK and made his way out via the front door. When the caller left, the lady discovered a large amount of money missing from her bedroom. He never entered her bedroom and she didn't see any other person but is convinced that someone else was in the house at the time. It is likely that when the caller closed the front door, he left it insecure to enable his accomplice to enter and search rooms whilst the lady was kept distracted.

    Suspect description:-

    MALE IC1 (white European)

    Aged 25/26 years

    5ft 7ins

    Slim build

Close cropped red hair (possibly dyed red)

    Clean shaven

Wearing a grey crew necked jumper and some form of badge hanging around his neck (in fashion of official id.)
