Is the Camberwell train station going to be re-opened?
TfL has just published the background paper, explaining, in some detail why the Old Kent Road route is preferred over the Camberwell option for the Bakerloo line extension. This is not a decision yet, but its pretty clear what the direction of travel is. (pun was irresistable)

Not good news, although the document is clearly biased, and there are follow up questions.
However, the better news: There is going to be a formal evaluation of the case to open the Camberwell Train Station - due to be submitted in August 2016.
Is this what we want as a community?
Is TfL committed to making this happen, or is this just a convenient way of deflecting our efforts to getting the tube?
