    The MCA objected to recent planning applications to convert this property into multiple small flats (studios, one bed and two bed) as this would have altered the property and led it to being unsuitable for larger families. This matters because the Minet estate was originally laid out with a variety of accommodation, from small flats to large houses, in order to create an area with a wide diversity of residents, something the MCA seeks to maintain.

    Southwark council found the original application would lead to overdevelopment.

    A revised application was submitted to split the property into two apartments, both suitable for family occupation.

    The MCA supported this application in principle, and expressed only concern at the visual impact of adding one dormer and two velux windows to the front facing roof.
